Boyhood interests in natural history, archaeology and geology were later to be the foundation blocks for a career focused on imparting knowledge. Vincent graduated from UCD in 1981 with an MA degree and subsequently worked for a number of years as an osteoarchaeologist n the National Museum of Ireland.
A freelance heritage specialist, he designs and delivers an extensive suite of
educational programmes and lectures on a wide range of subjects. Involved in Irish tourism since the early 1990s, Vincent is one of Ireland’s leading Tour Guide Trainers and worked for many years as coordinator and Lead Tutor on
Fáilte Ireland’s National Tourst Guide Training Programme.


Vincent designs, manages and directs extended bespoke heritage tours throughout Ireland and possess an in-depth knowledge of the country’s remarkable natural, built and cultural heritage. In addition, he has over 20 years of international tour guiding experience. A keen photographer, he is extremely fortunate to be able to visit remote locations around the World aboard the expedition cruise ship, National Geographic Explorer, where he works as a senior lecturer. This platform has allowed him to develop and hone his skills in landscape, wildlife, and cultural photography.
